The unique panorama of the Sárospatak River forms the basis of the special atmosphere of the Vár Vendéglő Panzió. While our guests enjoy the taste of excellent food, the aroma of the famous Hegyalja wines, the courteous service or the comfortable accommodation, a piece of the past, the Rákóczi Castle, opens before their eyes.

Traditional Hungarian cuisine

We offer the specialties of traditional Hungarian cuisine, excellent combinations of the flavors of Hegyköz and Bodrogköz, as well as a variety of delicious fish soups and fish dishes. In addition to the delicious dishes, our guests can choose from the best wines of the Tokaj-Hegyalja wineries. We welcome our guests in our restaurant with three cozy rooms (20-25-50 people) and a covered garden in the summer. Good parking is available for drivers. We have our own playground for children. We serve wine lovers with a wine cellar. We undertake the organization of family and corporate events

About our guesthouse

The guesthouse has 5 panoramic rooms with a view of the Rákóczi Castle and 1 non-panoramic room available for those looking for accommodation. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning and a bathroom. The rooms have a double bed and there is also the possibility of placing extra beds. Our services include: protected internal parking, TV, minibar, safe, internet connection.
